Localizing Cooperative UAV System

LOCUST provides localization, mapping and planning capabilities for unmanned aerial vehicles in GPS denied locations.

On the LOCUST program, Robotic Research sought to solve the collective localization problem for a group of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) using lightweight sensors and without relying on camera or LIDAR data. This type of solution would be invaluable in a scenario where a swarm of UAVs is used employed to navigate through an environment that is filled with smoke or unlit.
