Current Projects

SARTI, is the scientific continuation of the Demo III project. It continues the cutting edge research and testing of autonomous ground platforms developed under DEMO III. Under this program, the Technology Readiness Levels of autonomous mobility are being studied. This program is managed by the Army Reasearch Labs (ARL).

VTI, has used autonomous vehicle technologies developed under DEMO III and SARTI to study the Vetronics aspects of human machine interfaces. Under this program XUVs and LAVs have been used in autonomous demonstrations. Other interests of this program include OCU development and Leader / Follower technnologies. This program is managed by TARDEC.

ANS, will design the autonomous vehicle software to be used for the MULE and ARV under the FCS. This program is mananged by DARPA.

TACTIC, concentrates on the development of tactical behaviors for autonomous vehicles.

Past Projects

DEMO I-II-III has developed autonomous ground vehicle technologies currently being used by most other programs. DEMO III autonomous software is the current benchmark in ground robotic autonomy. Under this umbrella, robotics evolved from teleoperation to the current level of Technology Readiness Level 6 (TRL6). This program was managed by ARL.

PerceptOR has concentrated on the sensing requirements for small robotic ground vehicles. In the first phases where Robotic Research participated, autonomous systems were tested in different terrains.
