Past SBIR Projects
January 2008. RR joined Carnegie Mellon University and other team members on Army SBIR 07-001 Small UAV High Speed Obstacle and Collision Avoidance.
2006-2007 SBIRs included NAVAIR programs. UM6, is a SBIR program for processing and then selecting from the multiple requests for an unmanned aircraft. This involves correctly prioritizing tasks so that tasks necessary for completion of a mission can be changed and shifted between multiple users while the craft is deployed. A related program, UM7, involves creating “emotions” for a robotic control system.
2006 -2007 Office of Naval Research project NO96 involves development to plan for teams of heterogeneous robots and allow reprogramming of robotic water craft and aircraft while in mission status.
Air Force Research Lab, STTR program. Video/Optical Flow project involved development of hardware for 3D model generation and detection of moving entities using video feed from stationary or moving cameras using FPGAs.
