Multi-vehicle Planning and Coordination (MPAC) system - MPAC -- for Commercial Uses

MPAC will develop an architecture that utilizes multiple unmanned systems to achieve many mission goals simultaneously in a dynamic environment where the mission tasks, world model, and available assets are always changing. This same architecture can be used to coordinate and re-plan commercial boats -- both manned and unmanned -- for optimal efficiency in completing a task. Applications include:
  • Surveying
  • Oil and other natural resource explorations
  • Wildlife migration
  • Containment of an area
  • Security
Operator-Aided Recovery System (OARS) for Commercial Uses

Robotic Research, LLC (RR), in an exclusive partnership with General Dynamics Robotic Systems (GDRS), is developing the Operator-aided Autonomous Recovery System (OARS), a standard control system for recovery of USVs and manned OOVs from an Littoral Combat Ship. OARS will make use of an established Hierarchical Control Architecture and Tactical Control Unit that have been effectively used for the control of several successful Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and USVs. This aid to navigation can be applied to commercial ships, boats, barges and other sea-vessels that require a better visualization and warning system when traversing tight areas and docking. Applications include:
  • Research and Commercial ship recover of small craft (boats, subs, inflatables, buoys, fishing equipment)
  • Docking
